Spider veins

Varicose Veins

Unlike varicose veins, bluish, reticular visible fine veins are a genuinely cosmetic and particularly widespread problem. It affects both males and females. They can be removed with sclerotherapy or laser.

Varicose veins can occur in various forms and are cosmetically very irritating. Spider veins can only undergo cosmetic treatment following a thorough diagnosis.

Alongside laser treatment, we also use sclerotherapy (obliteration) here in either liquid or foam processes. We would recommend obliteration in the majority of cases. A required therapeutic inflammation of the vascular wall is tackled selectively by a sclerosis agent which is injected. These vessels are then broken down slowly by the body. It is recommended that you undergo sclerotherapy during the autumn and winter months, because any subsequent intense effects from the sun may cause the skin to become discoloured.
