Filler

Fillers

All substances which are introduced both into and underneath the skin must be compatible and should not cause any allergies. They should provide results which are as stable as possible and which can be repeated as much as possible, should remain at the implantation site, should be biocompatible, and should not be identified as foreign objects for the organism.

Hyaluronic acid

The substance most commonly used for filling in wrinkles is hyaluronic acid. The gel-like substance is available in every human body as a natural moisture reserve (for example in the joints, in the eye, and especially in the skin).

Application examples

Hyaluronic acid products (Restylane®, Belotero®, Emervel®) have proven to be extremely reliable and safe in thousands of courses of treatments that Dr. Cordula Ahnhudt has already carried out. In addition, the products produce long-lasting results. The effect following treatment continues for between 6 and 24 months depending on the substance, wrinkle depth, and the amount of filler material.

The skin structure also benefits permanently from the treatment, because hyaluronic acid also acts as a radical catcher and it stimulates the natural production of collagen inside the tissue.

Radiesse®

The components of Radiesse®, calcium, and phosphate occur quite naturally in human tissue. The formation of collagen which occur naturally in the body is stimulated and therefore produces long lasting results (from a year to eighteen months).

Application examples

Radiesse® is used to restore skin volume, and particularly for tightening the skin around the cheeks and the chin line. Other areas of application include laterally lowered eyebrows, sunken scars and aged hands.

8-point lift

With the so-called 8-point lift, hyaluronan depots are placed at eight strategic points on each half of the face. This is done in order to upholster and lift sunken areas, soften and smooth wrinkles. The treatment is short and painless, the effect is immediately visible and lasts 8-12 months.
This procedure was developed by the famous Brazilian plastic surgeon Dr. Mauricio de Maio and is used successfully on a global basis.
