Wrinkle treatment with a neuromodulator

Wrinkle treatment with a neuromodulator

A neuromodulator obstructs the transmission of nerve signals. It is harmless when taken in doses used for aesthetic medicine. The muscle being treated relaxes for between four and eight months. The formation of wrinkles is prevented if used at the right time.

Application examples

  • frowning wrinkles on the forehead or frown lines in between the eyebrows entrench themselves deeply into the skin over time as a result of constant facial expressions. Neuromodulators reduce muscle activity for a few months, the skin relaxes, and the wrinkles smoothen out.
  • targeted injections in the respective muscles allow crow’s feet to soften and the eyebrows to lift. The eye area appears open and radiant once again.
  • A neuromodulator can be used selectively to combat certain problem areas as well as to supplement the volume structure of the face with filling material. The effect lasts for around three to four months. It can then can be refreshed easily.
  • hanging corners of the mouth, wrinkles on the neck and on the neckline can all be treated in addition to mimic wrinkles.
  • There are also numerous medical uses for neuromodulators, e.g. for treating migraines and excessive sweating around the armpits, under the breasts, in the face, and on the scalp, where sweat glands are taken out of action for several months.
  • Bruxism is known as the main type of night-time teeth grinding. The consequences are headaches, toothaches and jaw pains, and permanent damage to both the teeth and jaw joint. A pinpoint accurate injecting the neuromodulator relaxes the chewing muscle and prevents real irritation for several months.
